Washington Dual Language Academy Hosts 2nd Annual High School and Career Expo
On November 13th, Washington Dual Language Academy (WDLA) proudly hosted its second annual High School and Career Expo, which connected middle school students and their families with high school options and career pathways.
High schools such as Fenwick, Trinity, Proviso East, Proviso Math and Science Academy (PMSA), Walter Christian Academy, and various local organizations offered valuable insights to students and families about educational and career opportunities. Each student had guiding questions to ask presenters and a “passport” to get stamped at each visit. Students who completed at least ten stamps on their passports earned a dress-down day, adding a fun and motivating incentive to the experience.
Special recognition goes to Ms. Boyd, Ms. Minerva Perez, Mr. Julian Jeronimo, and Principal Jacqueline Campos for their outstanding efforts in organizing and leading this event. Their dedication ensured its success and reinforced WDLA’s commitment to empowering students and families for bright futures.
